Petrol Price War at Supermarkets

Morrison’s is the latest supermarket chain to enter the petrol price war promising shopper’s cheaper fuel. Morrison’s are offering 6p off each litre of petrol or diesel for anyone who spends more than £40.00 in its stores from Monday 18th April. Sainsbury’s and the Co-op have both announced similar deals.

The Co-op is offering 5p off every litre when customers spend £30.00 or more on groceries while Sainsbury’s deal of 5p off a litre has just ended

Morrison’s marketing director Richard Lancaster said “we know that over the Easter holidays and the royal wedding, motorists will want to travel further to visit friends and relatives, but will be put off by the cost of petrol, our offer ensures that our customers can enjoy this time and worry less about the cost."

www.Petrolprices.com says that on average, supermarkets have the cheapest petrol, but this is not the case in every location. It is important to do a comparison and then work out whether your fuel will still be cheaper with the discount
